This will begin my sixth year as principal of Fred T. Foard High School.

Why I Became an Educator
Mrs. Barbara Lael had a huge impact on my decision to enter the educational field. I had the opportunity to work with her and her students in two teaching internships at Mountain View Elementary while in high school.
Favorite Activities
I enjoy spending time with my family, following Lenoir-Rhyne athletics, fishing, and conducting small construction projects at home.
Something Unique About Me
It truly has been a unique and awesome experience to be the principal of the high school in which I graduated. Fred T. Foard is where I met my wife, Lauren. We now have five children: Lincoln (14), Charlotte (12), Tucker (10), Harper (6), and Stella (1) who all will attend Fred T. Foard too!
I am a product of Catawba County Schools, and after completing my student teaching at Claremont Elementary it just felt right to come back home!

My entire career in education has been at Fred T Foard. I have served in several facilitator roles, starting with North Carolina Information Highway, online learning and credit recovery. It's always good to see students accomplish their goals. This will be my second year as the school secretary. I enjoy time with my family, especially my granddaughters. The beach is my happy place, I would love to visit more often. Fred T Foard is special to me, not only did I and my children graduate from Foard but also a lot of my extended family did as well. Many memories and friends were made here.

My family and I moved to North Carolina from Wisconsin in the summer of 2007 and reside in the Mountain View area. In 2009 I started substitute teaching for Catawba County Schools in grades K-12. After subbing for almost 10 years, I started my position as the receptionist at Fred T. Foard High School in the fall of 2018 . I absolutely love my job and being a part of the Foard Tiger family.
My husband and I have two beautiful daughters, Alison and Adrianna, who are both graduates from Foard. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. My two favorite vacation spots are the beach and Walt Disney World. When I retire, I would love to move to Florida and work at WDW.
