Your Guide for the 2021-22 School Year

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about how we are working together to keep our staff and students safe and healthy during the 2021-22 school year.

Operational Status

5 Days Per Week, In-Person Learning

Masks optional inside all CCS facilities by all staff, students, and visitors.

Masks optional on all school transportation (updated 2/28/2022).

COVID-19 Dashboard

We are not currently tracking Covid data in our district.

Our top priority in all decisions is the health, safety, and well-being of our students, employees, and school communities. To minimize the spread of COVID-19, we are using layered prevention strategies to do everything possible to ensure our schools remain safe, healthy, and open this school year.

Layers of protection add up!

Think of defending yourself from COVID-19 as slices of Swiss cheese. Wearing a mask or washing your hands is not enough because each slice by itself has holes. If you layer the slices by taking more safety steps, you'll protect yourself and others better.

Do Your Part!

We want your children in school, learning and enjoying their activities every day. That’s why we are doing our part by implementing layered prevention strategies and working with Catawba County Public Health to address positive cases and potential exposures. Your family can do their part by practicing healthy hygiene and staying home when sick.
